Kolektivní performativní týden v rámci Prague Pride.
Každý den od 15:00 do 18:00 budeme v prostoru k zastižení.
Naše vlajka bude postupně narůstat, jakákoliv část se počítá. Celek je vždy výsledkem setkávání a společné přítomnosti.

Ve středu 30. 7. od 17:00:
Párací a šicí rituál – Společně budeme párat staré oblečení, dělit je na díly a sešívat v jiný celek. Oblečení je jako tělo a my z těch jednotlivých těl vytvoříme kolektivní tělo duhové vlajky jako symbolu diverzity. Při procesu párání a šití probíhá sdílecí kruh soucítění.
Rády bychom se setkaly s osobnostmi z jiných kolektivů a společně se bavily o tom, co nás zajímá, těší i pálí.

V neděli 3. 8. od 17:00:
Piknik Mothers Artlovers – náš piknik je velkou oslavou.
Zahraje: S.N.R.I.
Každý a každá přinese spoustu dobrot. Bude hudba a tanec. Společně oslavíme konec Pride týdne i společenskou diverzitu.

Cítíme hluboké znepokojení nad současným děním ve světě – nárůstem pravicového extremismu, xenofobie, rasismu, nenávisti vůči menšinám, queer lidem a ženám.
V reakci na tuto situaci jsme se rozhodly připomenout klíčový moment v historii boje za LGBT+ práva – vznik první duhové vlajky v roce 1978, vytvořené Gilbertem Bakerem ve spolupráci s umělkyní Lynn Segerblom a fotografem Jamesem McNamarou.

Tato vlajka, poprvé vztyčená 25. června 1978 během Gay Freedom Pride v San Franciscu, byla vytvořena jako symbol LGBT hrdosti na podnět aktivisty a politika Harveyho Milka.
Původní osmipruhový design vlajky představoval:

  • růžová – eros
  • červená – život
  • oranžová – uzdravování
  • žlutá – sluneční světlo
  • zelená – příroda
  • tyrkysová – umění/magie
  • modrá – vnitřní klid
  • fialová – duch

Zveme queer kolektivy i jednotlivce, aby se zapojili do rekonstrukce této vlajky v původních rozměrech (15,24 × 9,14 m), za použití recyklovaného textilu a oblečení.
Společně chceme vytvořit dílo jako symbol solidarity, sdílení a propojení v rámci našich komunit.

Artist collective: Mothers Artlovers

A week-long collective performative action by Mothers Artlovers as part of Prague Pride.
We will be available every day from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Our flag will gradually grow, and every part counts. The whole is always the result of encounters and shared presence.

Wednesday, July 30, from 5 p.m.:
Unstitching and sewing ritual – Together we will unstitch old clothes, divide them into pieces, and sew them into a new piece.
Clothes are like bodies, and we will create a collective body of a rainbow flag as a symbol of diversity from these individual bodies.
During the unraveling and sewing process, a sharing circle of compassion will take place.
We would like to meet people from other collectives and talk together about what interests us, what we enjoy, and what concerns us.

Sunday, August 3, from 5 p.m.:
Mothers Artlovers Picnic – our picnic is a big celebration.
Music by: S.N.R.I.
Everyone will bring something delicious to share. There will be music and dancing.
Together we will celebrate the end of Pride Week and social diversity.

We are deeply concerned about current global developments – the rise of far-right extremism, xenophobia, racism, and hatred directed toward minorities, queer people, and women.
In response, we have decided to revisit a key moment in the history of the LGBT+ rights movement:
the creation of the first rainbow flag in 1978 by Gilbert Baker, in collaboration with artist Lynn Segerblom and photographer James McNamara.

The flag, first flown on June 25, 1978, during the Gay Freedom Pride in San Francisco, was initiated as a symbol of LGBT pride at the suggestion of activist and politician Harvey Milk.
The original eight-stripe design represented:

  • pink – eros
  • red – life
  • orange – healing
  • yellow – sunlight
  • green – nature
  • turquoise – art/magic
  • blue – serenity
  • purple – spirit

We invite queer collectives and individuals to join us in reconstructing the original-sized flag (15.24 × 9.14 m) using second-hand clothing and recycled fabrics.
Together, we aim to create a shared work as a gesture of solidarity, connection, and community empowerment.
